Before buying: check the correct size
With Big Blade, comparing only the external dimensions of the cover is not enough. Check the actual unit dimensions, feet, pipework, condensate drain, wall distance and the space required for airflow and maintenance.
Big Blade floor mounted against the wall
This configuration is designed for large heat pumps and HVAC outdoor units where a standard cover is not enough. The floor-mounted against-wall version combines structural ground support with a wall-adjacent installation while keeping the unit ventilated and serviceable.
Concealed 316 stainless-steel frame
The load-bearing structure is made from 316 stainless steel and remains hidden from view. Formed outer panels are mechanically clamped to the frame with stainless-steel screws and self-locking nuts. Folds, frame and clamping work together to reduce play and vibration.
3 mm ACP aluminium composite panels
The outer panels are made from 3 mm ACP aluminium composite. They are CNC cut, routed, drilled and formed. The folded geometry increases stiffness and supports repeatable production.
Adjustable louvers and airflow management
The surfaces use manually adjustable louvers from about 0° to 90°. This allows the free airflow area to be adapted to the installation. Size and positioning must always respect the heat-pump manufacturer’s technical clearances.
For selected configurations, an elastomeric airflow-separation system can help limit unwanted recirculation from the discharge zone back toward the intake zone.
Structural floor supports
The feet are structural components. Each support uses a stainless-steel element with a threaded connector and adjustable foot. Depending on the installation, the structure can be anchored to slabs or foundations or used with suitable technical supports.
Maintenance access
The cover is designed so it can be released from its fixing points and moved away from the unit. Larger versions can use shell or half-shell configurations to maintain full service access.
Protection from direct exposure
Big Blade reduces direct exposure to sun, driving rain, snow, hail, dirt, leaves and light impacts. In coastal areas, the physical barrier and 316 stainless-steel frame also help reduce direct exposure to salt-laden aerosols. It is not presented as a sealed enclosure or a certified safety device.

The fins distributed on all sides guide the hot air out, preventing harmful backflow toward the motor. The two upper slots, one at the back and one at the front, respectively allow fresh air in and hot air out. Finally, the entire structure is raised from the ground to promote circulation also from the base.

Is it true that if you don’t cover the heat pump, it can get damaged?
Yes, it’s written in the manual too. The heat pump is exposed daily to rain, hail, wind, dust, debris, UV rays, and frost. Without proper protection, these factors can cause premature wear, malfunctions, or loss of efficiency. A well-designed cover is a simple way to protect the unit and extend its lifespan.
How is it installed? Can I do it myself?
Installation is generally simple: the cover arrives pre-assembled, with a clear instruction manual and everything needed to assemble its parts. Heat pump covers are very bulky, so for a comfortable and safe installation we recommend having two people.
For wall mounting, the type of plugs and screws depends on the wall material (wood, concrete, insulation, ventilated wall…). In such cases, just ask your local hardware store for advice: they will recommend the most suitable fixings.
Does covering the heat pump reduce its efficiency?
On the contrary. Our covers are designed to protect without obstructing operation: the ventilation system is studied in every detail and is covered by registered design at EUIPO, ensuring optimal airflow.
In summer, shielding the unit from direct sun helps reduce overheating and improves efficiency at critical times. In windy or dusty environments, the structure helps keep filters and air grilles cleaner, maintaining a constant airflow. How do I know if the cover is compatible with my heat pump?

What if I need to access the heat pump for maintenance?
The cover is designed to be easily removable: you can unhook and lift it without dismantling anything. In just a few minutes, you have full access to the system without complications.
Is it possible to customize color or size?
Yes. All Box Air Klima covers can also be painted at home: in this case we recommend ordering the white version. For special orders or specific aesthetic needs, we offer customization on request: colors, finishes, non-standard sizes. Contact us to evaluate the best solution.
How does shipping work?
Shipping is free. We deliver across the European Community with selected couriers within 14 days, except in special cases. You will receive tracking as soon as the package leaves our warehouse.
Depending on the size, shipping is handled differently.
Ordering size VXL or 3XL?
The largest sizes (VXL and 3XL) are shipped fully assembled, ready to install — you just need to receive them properly: as bulky and heavy products, they are delivered on pallets with truck tail-lift unloading. Prepare for delivery as follows:
- Make sure you are present at delivery.
- Arrange for a second person to assist with moving.
- Ensure there is free and accessible space for unloading the pallet.
If no one is present when the courier arrives, a new delivery will be required, so it’s important to be ready.
Ordering size XL, XXL, or VL?
All other sizes are shipped partially assembled, in flat packs that are easy to handle. In this case, delivery is via standard courier. You will receive simple instructions to complete assembly yourself. Due to the size of the covers, we recommend having two people.
And what if the product doesn’t fit?
You have 14 days to return your product. Just contact us: we’ll guide you step by step. In case of our mistake or defects, replacement is free.
