Welcome to our blog! Today we explore the technology that makes Box Air Klima® enclosures so effective and popular with customers. To tell you about it, we have taken this FAQ from an interview with an expert from our team. Let's find out everything!
Does Box Air Klima® have technologies to reduce noise from air conditioners and heat pumps?
Yes, of course! - explains our expert. ‘Box Air Klima® uses advanced technologies to design enclosures that effectively reduce noise. We have a dedicated anechoic chamber in our factory where we test and perfect noise reduction techniques. This test environment allows us to precisely analyse all the factors that influence noise reduction.’
Does noise reduction also depend on external factors?
Absolutely!, he continues. ‘There are many environmental elements that affect noise reduction. For example:
- Material of the supporting wall: wood, stone or concrete have different effects on sound.
- Presence of reflective surfaces: such as swimming pools or windows, which can amplify noise.
- Position of the air conditioner: the position relative to the walls influences the sound diffusion.’
Box Air Klima® uses innovative materials to reduce noise?
‘Absolutely! Our covers are made of aluminium composite (ACP), a material that attenuates noise much better than traditional metal.’
- Three-layer structure: ACP is designed to limit sound propagation. Thanks to the polymer layer inside the outer aluminium sheets, there is no direct propagation of sound waves between the two material surfaces.
- Noise reduction from driving rain: provides sound comfort by preventing annoying rain noise on the cover.
Is the air flow necessary for the operation of the device guaranteed?
‘Absolutely. Our covers are designed to ensure optimal air flow.’
-
Adjustable slats: to improve circulation.
-
Adjustable rear space: up to 10 cm to ensure ventilation.
-
It is essential to choose the right size to avoid air recirculation.
Are Box Air Klima® covers delivered assembled or in kits?
‘We supply them in practical assembly kits, complete with instructions and stainless steel screws. Installing a cover is quick and easy!’
How is the unit accessed for maintenance?
‘We have designed the covers for easy access.’
- With a stainless steel slot system, simply lift the cover after loosening the screws.
- For ground units, simply remove four screws from the rear wall.
How are the covers fixed and positioned?
‘The fixing options are varied, to suit every need.’
- Direct fixing to the wall
- Fixing with feet
- Floor standing with rear closure
How to lay a roof on the ground?
‘Our enclosures have configurable feet for every situation, suitable for hard surfaces such as concrete, even uneven ones. The use of this type of anchorage allows installation even in difficult spaces and on different levels with maximum flexibility.’
What if the unit is positioned high?
‘Our models attach to the wall with 4 screws, once the holes are drilled the cover is easy to hang. The Big Blade models, given their large size, are even sturdier and safer, thanks to the stainless steel internal structure.’
Is it possible to stack several covers?
‘Yes, our modular system allows multiple covers for large units to be stacked on top of each other for multiple installations. This is possible thanks to the double height kit that can be purchased separately.’
How easy is it to install a Box Air Klima® enclosure?
‘Very simple! The aluminium composite models are assembled with just a few screws, while the Big Blades come with the stainless steel reinforcement frame already pre-assembled on the cover panels.’
How do you clean and maintain the covers?
‘Just use water and neutral detergents, avoiding aggressive products. Regular cleaning helps to keep the cover beautiful and shiny over time.’
