Start with the exposed surfaces
Look at where sunlight and rain reach your installation. A small canopy mainly provides shelter from above; a front screen also shields the face of the wallbox. Crystal Shell addresses that need while keeping an open structure around the charger.
Open sides and natural ventilation
The left and right sides remain open. Space around the wallbox allows air movement and, depending on the charger, access to side controls and connections. The lower opening accommodates the cable route. A stored connector benefits from shelter only when positioned within the covered area.
Existing wall or suitable support
The cover can be added around an installed wallbox after checking dimensions and fixings. The supplied rear panel also allows installation on a suitably prepared support. Does my wallbox need to be installed already?
No. Plan the cover with a new installation or add it afterwards, checking dimensions and fixings.
Does Crystal Shell actively cool the charger or prevent freezing?
No. It is ventilated shielding, without cooling or heating. It does not change the charger’s IP rating or operating limits.
How do I check compatibility?
Measure the charger, socket, inserted plug and cable bends. Check displays, doors and manufacturer-required clearances using the measurement guide and product specification.
