Behaviour depends on the model and installation. Slow charging alone does not establish a sunlight problem. Check the device alerts and its manufacturer’s instructions before deciding what needs addressing.
Sunlight and ventilation both matter

Observe the wall during your charging hours: morning shade can become afternoon sun. Allow space for the inserted plug and around the charger. Any cover must preserve the airflow paths and clearances required by the manufacturer.

If charging stops
Record the alert and the circumstances, follow the manufacturer’s instructions and involve your installer when needed. A cover addresses outdoor exposure; it does not repair faulty connections or guarantee that every interruption will disappear.
